About Revive OC
Revive is a comprehensive lesson toolkit that makes learning about renewable energy for grade 6-8 students both informative and entertaining. It aims to instill a lasting appreciation for sustainable practices with hands-on activities, videos, and meaningful discussion.
There are 10 lesson topics including renewable and non-renewable energy, indigenous sustainability practices, and what students can do today to make an impact. With our toolkit, teachers can access all the learning materials we have created and assembled in one convenient and visually pleasing place, and this format allows teachers to choose their lesson plans based on their class’ learning style.
Most middle school teachers are overworked and are given a limited budget, so Revive provides a free and pre-done option for exciting education. We have forged a partnership with a Kelowna middle school to implement our syllabus and piqued the interest of local charities, who’s donations continue to help us to be able to fulfill our mission.
The Idea of Revive was formed at the beginning of 2023, and since then we have taken it from a simple proposal to the comprehensive program it is today, and we aren’t stopping here! We plan to form more partnerships and to be able to distribute it across Canada.
